Biobag Install - Pine Lake

The same landowners that implemented the native plantings on Pine Lake were also the ones to install a biobag shoreline stabilization. See more about their native planting project here.

As avid lovers of native plants and a natural Wisconsin lakefront, these landowners opted for a biobag installation to stabilize their eroding shoreline. At first glance, these Envirolok biobags don’t seem very natural. But due to the the sand and soil mixture they contain, the plant plugs wedged between them will root through the bags and grow until they completely cover the sight of them. In a few years time, you can be sure that this lakefront will be one of the most beautiful on Pine Lake.

Some of our favorite natives were planted between these biobags, including a variety of sedges, grasses, and pollinator plants.
