Moshawquit Lake Management Plan Progress
We have partnered with Moshawquit Lake Association to assist them in updating their Lake Management Plan (LMP). Here you can find a snapshot of their progress!
1.a - Create maps of total rake fullness, individual species distribution, depth, and sediment.
1.b – Include Eurasian Watermilfoil location, size, density, and average depth from the 2023 survey. Provide Eurasian Watermilfoil location, size, density, and average depth from the 2024 survey in summary format.
1.c - Include pre-treatment and post-treatment maps of Eurasian Watermilfoil occurrence and chi-square analysis of treatment areas, resulting from a targeted Eurasian Watermilfoil bed survey.
2.a - Menominee County Land and Water Conservation will conduct site visits and site plans for up to 5 properties on Moshawquit Lake, resulting in 5 shovel-ready projects on Moshawquit Lake.
3.a – Hold two meetings in fall of 2023. The first public meeting will deliver lake management education for the public and broad goals and objectives developed by stakeholders. The second follow-up meeting will organize the results of the public planning meeting and produce detailed goals and objectives.
3.b - Include a summary of group discussion, the public input map exercise, and presented information in the final APMP, as well as goals and objectives developed during the public meeting.
