Tree Sapling Watering

Our newly planted oak and pecan saplings at Kuckuk Park and Sturgeon Park need watering this summer! We need help at the end of July, and in August and September when it gets really hot and dry.

Each tree will need 3 gallons of water per week, unless there is an inch of rain that week. There should be around 30-40 trees total between Kuckuk and Sturgeon Parks - look for the pink marking flags and the blue marking tape tied around the trees.

You can bring your own 5 gallon buckets to scoop water from the Wolf River, or you can stop by our office the Friday before your weekend to water to pick up a few 5 gallon buckets from us. You will need to drop them back off at our office the next Monday.

We also recommend bringing a wagon or something to haul buckets up the hill at Kuckuk Park.
